Ordering Tips--The Stages of Flowers

Some people like to get plants with the first bud just opening as they enjoy seeing the buds of their plants open. Other want about 1/2 of the flowers open and yet some other prefer to have most or all of the flowers open

We'll meet your expectations much better if you tell us the blooming stage you prefer.

For banquets, bar & bat mitzvahs, conventions, parties, weddings, we recommend all or most flowers open as this is the stage when the plants are at their showiest. We suggest you place your order 6 to 8 weeks in advance of the event so that we save the plants for them to be at their showiest for the event.

If your humidity is below 50 % we recommend you get your plants mostly open, as buds (the most sensitive stage of blooming) will dry and fall if your humidity is too low.

If the light in the the room where you'll display your plant is not bright or the room is cool (below 70 F) we also recommend recommend you get your plants mostly open, as low light and cool temperatures will considerably slow down the opening of the buds.
